Research done at the @heartmathinstitute has shown that the heart sends more signals and information to the brain than the brain to the heart. The heart also produces the largest electromagnetic field in the body and contains over 40,000 neurons.
Science is beginning to give us a reason as to why so many ancient teachings have guided us within. The conscious mind, on the other hand, has a very important job of keeping us safe and ensuring we survive. It can only hold about 5-8 bits of information at one time while our body and our unconscious mind are processing hundred of thousands per second. Our heart communicates with us through feeling and with a silent but personal and recognizable inner voice. We get a small nudge or sense to move in a direction that comes from a place that is timeless and has access to universal intelligence but our mind that directs us uses logic and reason to silence that voice.
We are not able to with our limited conscious information envision a guaranteed positive outcome. This is where the leap of faith comes in. You have to trust in yourself and the intelligence, which beats your heart. To know that you will be ok if you follow this feeling. At first, it will be frightening but when you take action, observe the outcome you begin to see and KNOW there is a higher intelligence at play.
This intelligence goes far beyond conscious perception and requires your trust to engage it. The trust is shown through your action and trust is given back through serendipity and magical experiences. This force or intelligence is on your side, your heart communicates with this force and sends a signal to your body through feeling, intuition and knowing.
There is an Egyptian proverb that says, “A man’s heart is his own Neter (GOD)”. The more you learn to trust your inner heart, inner voice and inner GOD the more you’ll experience this higher intelligence that resides within you. ~
